The 2010s brought about many big projects for Pittsburg State University. The Bicknell Family Center for the Arts opened its doors in late 2014 and in 2015, the Robert W. Plaster Center, the new indoor track facility, opened. It was also during this decade that Pittsburg State University became a tobacco-free campus. Finally, during the summer of 2019, the Block22 Project in downtown Pittsburg was completed. Block22 features apartment-like housing for students, collaborative working spaces and new, exciting dining options.
