Baseball has been a part of campus life since at least 1910, when it was coached by John W. Fuhrer, the first director of the Department of Physical Education. The current coaching staff for the Pittsburg State University Baseball Team includes Bob Fornelli as Head Coach and Taylor Steen and Dennis Vilela as Assistant Coaches.
