UX/UI & Web Design
The UX/UI & Web Design emphases provides students with development and design skills for creative interactive content on websites and mobile devices. Students will learn in-demand, advanced skills for websites and interactive projects using programming languages such as: HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP. As well as experience creating and implementing two-dimensional web-motion based graphics.
WHAT OUR PROGRAM LOOKS LIKE
Web Design
Web site development techniques, design and standards for creating responsive, user friendly websites with HTML & CSS
Advanced Graphic Design
Integration of design principles, software, typography, and technology to execute the design process from visualization to production
Motion Graphics Software
Techniques and procedures for applying the principles of animation to produce 2D animated projects using motion graphics software for web and digital media outputs
Interactive Web Design
Fundamentals of scripting with JavaScript & jQuery to design and create dynamic, interactive websites and online applications
Inclusive Design
Students will learn about the principles of inclusive design, including empathy, diversity, equity, and inclusion. They will explore case studies and best practices in inclusive design, and gain an understanding of the social and ethical implications of design decisions
Mobile UI/UX Design
Design, create, test and deliver mobile applications that are user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing. Design principles for mobile devices, including mobile-first design, responsive design, and the use of mobile-specific UI elements
Web Content Management Systems
Exploration of open source web-based Content Management Systems for the development of dynamic and flexible web sites
